Join us as we clean up the walking trail between Greenbrier Drive and Hillsdale Drive! We'll meet in the Apria Healthcare parking lot at 450 Greenbrier Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22901 — they're closed on Sundays, so there's room to park. We'll start with the area around the Wawa — lot edges, fence lines, and the roadside where wind and foot traffic pile things up — then work the walking trail toward Hillsdale Drive, covering the trail shoulders, the brush along both sides, and the storm drains that catch everything else. This trail is a daily connector for people walking, running, and getting to work and errands between the two corridors, and it deserves to look like somebody's looking after it. It's also a direct line to the water: what sits on this trail doesn't stay here. It moves into the drainage that feeds Meadow Creek and then the Rivanna. We provide all the equipment — grabbers, bags, gloves, and safety vests. Just bring clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty and comfortable closed-toe shoes. It's August, so bring water and put on sunscreen before you come.
