We'll meet in the **closed Big Lots parking lot at 590 Branchlands Blvd, Charlottesville, VA**, and work the lot edges, landscaped islands, fence lines, and roadside where litter tends to collect and blow. Empty parking lots like this one quietly funnel trash straight into the storm drains — and from there into **Meadow Creek and the Rivanna Watershed**. Clearing it out keeps that litter out of our waterways and helps keep this stretch of Branchlands looking cared-for for the neighbors who walk and drive it every day. **We provide all the equipment** — grabbers, bags, gloves, and safety vests. Just bring clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty and comfortable closed-toe shoes. It's an August afternoon, so bring water and sunscreen.
