About

Ever wanted to learn to sew…get back into sewing…hem a pair of pants…make a quilt…create something artsy with fabric…or just hang out with creative women who know what a rotary cutter is? Then come check out **Rockin’ Bobbins**, a wonderfully welcoming sewing and needlecraft group that describes itself as: "a sewing and needlecraft group learning from one another through knowledge, laughter and a desire to create.” Come meet the lovely leaders, Magnificent Woman **Tracey Garrett** and her colleague **Jennifer Pitsenbarger**, tour their huge dedicated creative space, and see what they’re all about. This is a super casual “just come by!” event. Here’s the neat part: if you don't have a sewing machine, it's okay! They have them there for you to use, plus cutting tables, rulers, cutters, irons, even fabric and sewing notions members can use as they wish. You'll meet quilters, clothes makers, needlecrafters, etc. It's a fun place to come poke around, talk to other women, and get help on projects. If you decide you want to join, lessons are available, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the membership is only $10/month with no commitment, "sew" you can come one month, every month, or just whenever your inner crafty gal awakens. Rockin' Bobbins hours are Tuesdays from 1 to 5 pm and 1st & 3rd Saturdays from 1 to 3 pm. For this open house, just drop in any time between 1:30 and 3:30. I'll be there to introduce you to Tracey and Jennifer, and you can look around, chat, ask questions, and maybe leave inspired to make something. Bring a guest or two if you like! Hope to see you there!
