Date/Time: 6/27/2026 Start launch: Horseshoe End launch: Buchanan Meetup at: Buchanan Boat Launch Meetup Time: 9:30 Rules: You must provide the following information: your name, phone number, Emergency contact information (name & phone number), type of vehicle you drive (color/make/model/tag #), description of your kayak (color/make), general description of yourself, (such as: Female, 5’0”, brown/gray hair, slightly overweight, blue eyes). My preference is to have this information 48 hours before the float. *You only have to give this information to me once for any/all of these floats.* What to bring: water (1 bottle per hour per person), sunscreen, paddle and PFD. Snacks and lunch. Most floats will be most of the day, so please pack accordingly. PFD is mandatory. (I cannot stress this enough: this is the law in Virginia!!) Good attitude is appreciated. Sun/Rain with the exception of heavy thunderstorms. If heavy thunderstorms are predicted, I will postpone until the next clear weekend day. I will notify everyone on this float if the float is delayed. The only way we can go is if we have at least one person who wouldn’t mind running shuttle. Shuttle will be figured out on day of float (depending on who attends). As we will launch as a group, please keep other group members in sight. This float is not for “lolly-gaggers”, “dwaddlers” or “slow fisherman”. I do not float at a breakneck speed, but I do float at a steady pace. If you are holding up the group, I will ask you nicely to speed up. We will take breaks accordingly.
