Join us for a workday on Brown Mountain trail to help fellow hikers and trail maintainers Lynn Hatch and Anna Castle. We will be concentrating on managing vegetation along the trail. **Workday details:** We will clip vegetation using shears, clippers and swing blades along the 1.7 miles of the trail starting on Skyline Drive at the Brown Mountain Overlook. All participants will receive training, and we encourage individuals with all levels of experience to take part. The work can be strenuous as a lot of clipping in the heat is quite tiring **What to bring**: We will provide hard hats and tools, but if you have clippers, shears or small saws, please bring them along. Wear work clothes and boots, bring work gloves and safety glasses. Pack plenty of water, snacks, lunch, and insect repellent. **Meeting Time and Place:** Skyline Drive Milepost 76.9 at 9 AM. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.
