Not planning for any formal meeting at the parking lot. **Saturday** 13.4 mi / A 4829 ft / D 3701 ft Start at Maupin Shelter. SOBO on AT to Priest Shelter. * Highlights include views at Bee Mountain, Three Ridges, Chimney Rock, The Priest and swimming at the Tye River. **Sunday** 11.6 mi / A 3028 ft / D 4222 ft Start at Priest Shelter. NOBO on AT to Mau-Har trail junction. NOBO on Mau-Har to AT junction. NOBO on AT back to cars at Reid's Gap. * Highlights include views at The Priest and swimming at the Tye River or swimming holes along the Mau-Har trail. * Optional post hike food/beverages @ Devil's Backbone Brewery. Hike at your own risk and please be mindful of your ability/experience. This is a strenuous itinerary in the heat of summer that is not beginner friendly.
