AT A GLANCEArt Exhibition: “Drawn | Redrawn” by Eric KnissWhen: Friday, Aug. 28, through Wednesday, Sept. 30Where: Beverly Perdue Art Gallery, main level of the John Kenney Forrer Learning CommonsHours: The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to midnight on Sunday. This exhibition consists of 20 drawings (graphite on paper) of various sizes. The drawings were originally part of a single drawing 42 in. x 30 ft. The first layer of this large drawing was done over the summer of 2016 (Drawn) and another layer was (redrawn) added in the summer of 2024. In 2025 Kniss isolated individual compositions from the large drawing into the 20 drawings that will be in this show. Eric Kniss is Associate Professor of Art at Bridgewater College, where he teaches a range of traditional art classes. He earned an MFA in art from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
